Information from your account (sign-in via Manus)
Sign-in to Fitdrip is provided through Manus (manus.im), the platform our site is built on. When you sign in, we receive basic account information from Manus, such as an account identifier, name, and email address, depending on what Manus shares and your settings there. Manus handles your sign-in credentials under its own privacy policy; we do not receive your Manus password.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device information: pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and similar technical data.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 3.
Business listing information, including information about individuals
Our directory contains information about businesses, and sometimes about individuals connected to them, such as coaches, trainers, owners, or contact people (for example, a name, business contact details, photo, or professional description). Some listings are imported from third-party sources, publicly available sources, or information provided by users, and some listing content is prepared or summarized with the help of AI tools. Listings may be inaccurate or out of date and are unverified until claimed by the business. See section 8 for how to request a correction or removal.
Payment information
Payments are handled by our external third-party payment processor (name to be confirmed). We do not collect or store your full card number. We may receive limited information from the processor, such as your name, email, billing country, the plan purchased, the last four digits of your card, and payment status.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information (for example, health details) in forms, listing fields, or AI prompts unless it is necessary for your request.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- operate the directory, display listings, and respond to listing submissions, claims, edits, and removal requests;
- create and manage accounts and keep you signed in;
- provide FitDrip AI, track and manage AI credits, and administer Free and Fitdrip+ plans;
- process purchases of Fitdrip+, Pro, Featured, and Strategic Partnership plans and placements, and manage billing;
- respond to enquiries and send service, account, and billing messages;
- measure site traffic and understand how the site is used so we can improve it;
- show advertising and measure its performance;
- protect the site against spam, fraud, and abuse (including through Google reCAPTCHA); and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We will ask for your consent before using your personal information for a new purpose not described here, unless the law permits or requires otherwise. We do not sell personal information for money. We may use aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. These include:
- Essential: to keep you signed in, remember settings, and keep the site secure.
- Analytics: Umami analytics (served from manus-analytics.com) to measure visits and usage. We also store a visitor identifier in your browser's local storage (named `fitdrip_analytics_visitor`) to count unique visitors. We may also use Google Analytics.
- Advertising: Google AdSense, which uses cookies including DoubleClick cookies (see section 4).
- Security: Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and usage information to tell humans from bots. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Fonts: Google Fonts. When a page loads fonts from Google, your browser sends your IP address and browser information to Google.
You can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking some of them may stop parts of the site, such as sign-in, from working. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense) and your choices
We use Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2951112631496089) to show ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (including DoubleClick cookies) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices, and, in Canada, through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada at youradchoices.ca.
- To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you. Visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland may be shown a consent message about personalized ads where required.
5. Analytics
We use Umami analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are popular). We may also use Google Analytics. If we do, you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also limit analytics by clearing local storage and cookies or using browser privacy settings.
6. FitDrip AI: prompts and outputs
When you use FitDrip AI, we process your prompts and the generated outputs to provide answers, recommend listings, manage your credits, prevent abuse, and improve the service. Your prompts may be processed by the AI and hosting service providers that power the feature, which may be located outside Canada. Do not enter sensitive personal information (such as health conditions) or other people's personal information in prompts. AI outputs may be inaccurate; see our Terms of Use.
7. How we share information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers that help us run Fitdrip, under their own terms and privacy policies, including Manus (site platform, hosting, sign-in, and analytics), Google (advertising, fonts, security, and possibly analytics), AI service providers that power FitDrip AI, and our third-party payment processor (name to be confirmed; payments are subject to its privacy policy).
- Public listings: information in a business listing is published on the site for anyone to see.
- Listing partners, including Fitrip AI: once a listing you submitted has been reviewed and approved, we share that approved listing information (including pictures and business contact details) with Fitrip AI and other third-party partners, so more people can see the listing and contact the listing owner. When you approve your listing for publication, you consent to this sharing. Those partners handle the information under their own terms and privacy policies. You can ask us to stop sharing your listing going forward by emailing fitdripai@gmail.com, but we cannot recall copies partners have already received.
- Legal and safety: when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the security of the site, or to prevent fraud.
- Business transfers: if Fitdrip is sold, merged, or reorganized, information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be bound to use it consistently with this Policy.
We do not control how advertisers, linked businesses, or other third-party websites handle your information.
8. Listing corrections and removal
If a listing contains information about you or your business that is inaccurate, or you want information about you removed, email fitdripai@gmail.com with the listing URL and what you would like changed. Business owners can also use the claim form. We may ask you to verify your identity or your connection to the business before making changes. We aim to respond within 5 business days, but this is a goal, not a guarantee.
9. Where information is processed
We are based in Canada, but our service providers (including Manus, Google, AI providers, and our payment processor) may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States and other countries. Information processed in another country is subject to that country's laws and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities.
10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, such as running your account or listing, providing services you paid for, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No website or online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security. Card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.
12. Your rights in Canada
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable laws, you may:
- ask to access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice (withdrawing may mean we can no longer provide some services); and
- ask questions about our privacy practices.
Send requests to fitdripai@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. If a legal exception prevents us from fulfilling a request, we will explain why.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
13. Visitors in the EU/UK and California
EU/UK: If the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. We rely on your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies and personalized ads where required), the performance of a contract (for accounts and paid plans), our legitimate interests (for running, securing, and improving the site), and legal obligations. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
California: If California privacy law (CCPA/CPRA) applies to us and you, you may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, including for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, but use of advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" under California law. You can limit this using the opt-out options in section 4 and your browser settings, and you may contact us to exercise your rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
To make any of these requests, email fitdripai@gmail.com.
14. Children
Fitdrip is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Younger users should not create accounts or submit information. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use Fitdrip only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date. If we make significant changes, we will give additional notice, such as a notice on the site or an email, and ask for your consent where required by law.
